The Confederate Flag is racist? I don’t think so. The Confederate Flag, also known as The Rebel Flag, is a symbol for southern heritage. I understand where people get the idea that The Rebel Flag is a racist flag, but it was used mostly to show when the south, (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida). “I’m misunderstood. Talked down upon. You don’t know me the way you say you do, you know me by the fake things people say. You know the lies. What’s the difference between him and I? Number of stars? We stand for the same thing. He flies for all, and I fly for the south. Why say I can’t be flown? Because you’re scared to let people know what I truly stand for? Or is it because you’re close minded on me? You’re scared of the truth. Let them fly me with pride for their southern home.” - Mason White
What is the truth? The south was a racist place, yes, but the north also had racism. In fact, if any flag should be flown for racism, it should be the American Flag. The American Flag was the Klu-Klux-Klan’s main flag. The KKK was a lot worse than racism in the South. They killed. No matter what. So I ask you, is the Confederate Flag truly racist?
